CUT wins Exit 69

After a long weekend in Maple Plain, MN, CUT emerged victorious from the first tournament of the new season.

CUT cruised through pool play on Saturday, easily winning all three games, despite the cold, rainy weather and the absence of star handler Ben Caffrey.

On Sunday, CUT played Minnesota in the finals, initially going up 10 - 0. After that, Minnesota finally got on the board, scoring a few quick breaks to bring the score to 10 - 4. But, building on the stellar play of Justin Lim and Tyler Mahony, CUT closed out the game 15 to 5, winning on a callahan by freshman Jake Ritmire.

CUT finishes 3rd at Nationals

After a strong showing in pool play, CUT lost to UCF in the semifinals at Nationals in Madison, WI. CUT won their pool, beating Florida State, Harvard, Cornell, and - most importantly - Wisconsin, and was set to play UNC Wilmington in the Quarterfinals. After a hard-fought game that involved an amazing D by Nick Stuart, CUT won, 15-12.

Then, in the Semifinals, CUT lost to Central Florida, 15-8. Special shout out to the graduating senior class, and (of course) all of the alumni, parents, and fans who supported us this season.
